decded to get back into BF2 a bit

dont have a clue about the bf2 forums.

but had to wait a while, downloaded quite fast, had the patch within... half an hour - 45 minutes. Baring in mind it is 1.9GB.

Ive logged into ea.co.uk and it has no tracked games

mmm might have a look see if i can retrieve my old account just created a new 1 lol

wario your stats are tracked - i remember playing again earlier this year and my stats were the same

amazing game but shame they nerfed everything

never got into bf2.. the game never seemed to be 'finished' to me...never really liked it

Yep, it'll still be there. I played the other months and i was playing on my old account that i hadn't used in easily over a year.

Was an AMAZING game, untill they nerfed bunny hopping/dolphin diving, and added **** maps and **** things like drop in vehicles. Blargh.

Ahh just found out widescreen support was added in the 1.5 patch, so i am downloading 1.4 and 1.5 now

Yea you need the 1.41 patch to install the 1.50

I also have reinstalled BF2 for the 1.5 patch and I must say its brilliant, bring backs my joyous memories, best online fps I have ever played tbh

Luckily I had 1.41 on my external HD

and this patch undoes a lot of damage done to the game, the blackhawk guns can now kill again BUT the AA actually works, on planes as well! Hit reg is a lot better and there are measures in place to stop dolphin diving etc

I know a lot of people will QQ about dolphin diving but tbh its ****ing lame, BF2 was never intended to be that arcade, you can now dolphin dive if you want but you get a lovely accuracy penalty for a certain amount of time after performing the dive so no more ******ry where some flying prone guy blows everyone away, it wouldn't even work now because the hit reg is there so the guy actually takes hits. Vehicle drops as well, lovely things Help a guy out or drop em on some unsuspecting enemy

Pearl is a very good map imo, Highway Tampa is now included in the installer and is awesome in BF2, the Booster pack stuff (that comes free with 1.5) is really fun as well

oh I forgot to add, might not seem like a big thing to outsiders

but you can prone past claymores again

a freaking god send (plenty of people will understand)

now if only they had kept blowing them up with nades

edit: J10 and F35 are also now much more balanced

might have to purchase myself another saitek cyborg 3D rumble

is this a new patch or the 1.5 beta that i downloaded last month?

hehehehe I fly keyboard only, be warned though you should check over your aircraft controls, they added support for the Novint falcon and sort of borked up the default controls, had to rebind my controls at least

bugger that one was 1.5 gig will do it later then.... just reinstalling special forces, euro force and armoured fury as well now ... the patch on EA downloader is still on 1.41 ..will have to try chris;s out

I'm even tempted to reinstall special forces as well lol, although I think I would have to do a complete reinstall for that methinks

1.5 is 1.92GB, thats with all the booster pack stuff crammed in, tampa, pearl etc etc

ALSO you do not need the disc in the drive to play the game anymore and it's a lot better under Vista, specifically UAC etc because the annoying administrator related issues are gone, at least for me they are

ohh how i've missed my tank feels good, can't believe i havent played this in ages

word of warning when you play the EU booster pack maps and use the Challenger 2, it will be disorientating at first lol

for one you can't see the front of the tank when you drive it, so need to rely on the hud indicator for direction and the view is on the other side of the cannon

Might have to re-install this bad boy! got it on EA downloader aswell but also got the disks. will install it tomorrow and show yall how 2 play!! i left CSS for a year when BF2 came out its awsome however clan wars suck in it

i reinstalled it recently to play the mod desert conflict as it has so many great vehicles in it A10 Thunderbolt is so fun shame there arent many servers for it now

play the amoured fury booster which comes now with patch and you get the a10 on there

another noob question, my small sata's getting full, can i install bf2 on me second hard drive and play or is that impossible?

yeah i have all my games on an external HD much better and no difference and when you need to format you dont have to wait 4 years for css to update
